Hawaii is a beautiful place to vacation. It’s also home to a very unique resort called Aulani, A Disney® Resort & Spa. For those looking for sun, sand, and a little bit of magic it’s a dream destination. Many of our Travel Advisors with Inspire More Travel have visited Hawaii and made a stop at Aulani. Most recently Kati Doyle spent a few nights at the resort and is sharing with us her favorite reasons to stay at this breathtaking resort.

 

#1 Location, Location, Location

Nestled along the beautiful shores of Oahu in Ko Olina, is where you’ll find Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa. Here you can experience the beauty of the island while avoiding the crowds of Waikiki beach. The four man-made lagoons offer protected swimming for guests visiting the area. It has almost perfect weather conditions because the leeward side of the island sees very little rain. Though it’s removed from some of the more iconic sites on the island, you’ll find no shortage of activities in the area or at the resort itself. 

 

#2 So Many Amenities 

On property Aulani offers its guests a wide range of amenities. This includes complimentary character experiences, pools and a private beach, hula lessons, movies under the stars, and complimentary kids club activities. Bonus is there are no resort fees! Plus there are a variety of accommodations that include- standard rooms, 1-2 bedroom suites and 1-2-3 bedroom villas offering all the comforts of home with full kitchens and washer and dryers! It gives families the opportunity to relax and recharge. Or venture out and explore all the island has to offer knowing when they return they’ll be able to unwind in comfort. 

 

 

#3 Adventures abound!

After a couple days of enjoying the on property amenities, you may feel ready to adventure out. Disney’s Aulani is more than happy to help! Whether it’s your desire to visit Pearl Harbor, or snorkel with sea turtles, cast members at Aulani can help you find the right adventure for your family. Our Travel Advisors can help guests book in advance as part of our concierge planning services. Guests should know the excursions are not run by Disney but by third parties. It’s important to know if your booked tour includes transportation to and from the resort, not all do.

 

#4 Shopping and Dining

At Disney’s Aulani guests will enjoy the convenience of multiple dining options both on and off property. There are 2 restaurants, 3 lounges, and several quick-service dining venues on property. Nearby there are upscale dining options at the Four Seasons along with favorites like Monkeypod, Egg n’ Things, and Roy’s Ko Olina.

When it comes to shopping, guests will find a variety of shops where they can purchase items ranging from golf apparel to beach snacks and groceries. There are also other essentials at a number of popular retailers like Target, Costco, Safeway, and Longs Drugs. 

 

 

#5 Easy Breezy

Here at Inspire More Travel, we encourage clients visiting Hawaii to rent a car. Having a personal vehicle on the islands allows guests to tour at their leisure and experience all the Hawaiian Islands have to offer. However, here on Oahu guests visiting Disney’s Aulani can get away without renting a vehicle. There is so much available within walking distance and the resort does offer transportation to certain destinations. Not to mention, ride shares are readily available to those comfortable using their services. Should guests visiting Aulani feel the desire to venture out on their own for a day or two the resort does have an on property Enterprise car rental. All the better for making traveling around the island easy breezy!
